Windy Clayton
Partner Engagement Officer

As Knoxville Education Foundation’s Partner Engagement Officer, Windy Clayton builds partnerships with businesses and organizations to support community collected learning in The 865 Academies.

She earned a bachelor’s degree in applied human science, Master of Arts in Teaching from East Tennessee State University, and an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in educational leadership administration from Lincoln Memorial University. She previously served as principal of Beaumont Magnet Academy and worked for Knox County Schools as a teacher and administrator since 2005.

Windy is a member of the National Association of Elementary School Principals and Magnet Schools of America. She is a certified yoga instructor and volunteers her time teaching free classes at Bearden United Methodist Church. Windy is a Kappa Delta alumna and a graduate of the Knoxville Police Department’s Community Police Academy.

She lives in Knoxville with her husband, Greg, and enjoys yoga, reading, and cheering on her favorite football teams: the Volunteers and Titans.

Through my work at KEF, I see that community members and industries want to be connected to our schools and I enjoy facilitating those connections. I am passionate about providing our students with opportunities because they all have unlimited potential.
